The laptop arrived really speedily and it looked and performed just like a brand new laptop! I was incredibly impressed with how the laptop looked and how nicely it performed! Even more impressive was that I had a question concerning the laptop’s wireless connection and their consumer service individual was highly beneficial, skilled, and consumer service oriented. Turned out it was this certain laptop’s on/off wireless switch that required to be manually turned back on. I will surely advocate Tampa Laptops to all my buddies and relatives.

Aesthetically, it really is clean and plain with a boxy, modern day feel. Within the photo, the lid looks like brushed aluminum, but in person it’s smooth, shiny plastic with a brushed appear. I enjoy the chiclet keyboard — it sorts having a slightly clicky, satisfying motion, really quiet with a bit far more grippy finger-feel than a Mac keyboard. The touchpad is just slightly rough as well as the buttons feel sturdy. It’s heavier and chunkier than a typical Toshiba or HP model of this class (typical of Dell), but nonetheless portable enough that I really feel perfectly comfortable walking about with it. This laptop was not worth the cash when it was new. This laptop replaced my old dell latitude C640. It’s an OK laptop that does the job. But I’d agree with the other reviewed that “it ought to run faster” taking into consideration the specs. In comparing the specs vs. my old C640, it is got double the memory, double the CPU, double the harddrive, and so on… yet I only see a marginal performance improvement. I have run windows XP, Vista, and wasn’t especially impressed with the efficiency of either of them. I’m running 2003 server and it seems to be much better now. There’s a lot of harddrive noise. There is also an issue with feedback on my telephone when I get close to the pc… presumably as a result of a faulty ground someplace on the laptop. It is also a bit heavier then I’d like. On the pro side, the screen is good and huge, the keyboard is big and comfortable, has four USB ports, and came with two batteries (one of which has already died). (Review More…)
