We decided to upgrade from an HP Pavilion that was just entering it is 3rd year of life. Well, we didn’t decided – the Pavilion decided for us by continually overheating. When I reviewed which laptop to replace it with, I required the following items to become accurate: 17 inches, good with video games, HDMI port and could manage memory intensive points like converting VHS to DVD. This is actually a good workhorse personal computer. Initial setup is quick and straightfroward. The facial recognition software is really a nice touch. The machine isn’t loaded down using a lot of software that you simply will not use. Just several very good samples – like antivirus. It has the power to do most anything. The appearance is nice and the keyboard feels great. The numeric keypad can be a bonus. The screen is simple to see at an angle. Battery life is incredibly great at superior than 3 hours. (Fantastic for the standard battery.) And also the unit comes using the battery already charged. This is my second of this model in two months, and my third Lenovo. I’ve had only 1 warranty problem – a stuck key – and Lenovo replaced the keyboard and turned the repair around within one business day.
